Written following an approach by The Children's Film Foundation to write a film based around Pettit's Mill. The three children who lived at the mill are Harry Pettit's offspring under their real names, and they also appeared in the film playing themselves.

A copy of the film was tracked down by Guy and shown at the Ludlow gathering of the Malcolm Saville Society in April 1996.
